Students in Bangladesh who are interested in applying for the Information Technology Scholarship made accessible by the Islamic Development Bank and the Bangladesh Islamic Solidarity Educational Wakf (IDB-BISEW) are encouraged to do so. The recipients of the scholarships receive training in an information technology field that lasts for an entire year and culminates in the awarding of a professional certificate from a prominent training institute in either Dhaka or Chittagong. The scholarship would pay for the student’s full tuition for each of the courses that are being offered. Additionally, the charge for the Vendor Certification examination, which a candidate is required to pass in order to be considered successful in completing the course, is included in the price. A further cost of approximately 20,000 taka is paid on each student for the purpose of obtaining vendor certification. The deadline for submission of applications is March 13, 2015.

Scholarships are available for study in the field of information technology. Scholarship Summary The IDB-BISEW IT Scholarship Project was established in 2002 and is currently running in its tenth year of operation. This year marks the project’s tenth anniversary. In 2003, we launched the training program that was a part of this project. The purpose of the initiative is to improve the job opportunities available to young Muslims who have demonstrated exceptional ability but come from families with little financial resources. The goal of the IT Scholarship training program is to establish these students as highly successful IT professionals who are capable of securing fulfilling professions both in their own country and elsewhere in the world by providing them with high quality and professional level IT training that conforms to global standards.

The IDB-BISEW IT Scholarship is given out for a time period of one year. This is the duration of the award(s).

What does it include in its scope? The scholarship would pay for the student’s full tuition for each of the courses that are being offered. Additionally, the charge for the Vendor Certification examination, which a candidate is required to pass in order to be considered successful in completing the course, is included in the price. The candidate would be responsible for their own costs for food and lodging throughout the program, as the scholarship would not cover those expenses. In addition, trainees are given an allowance of 2,000 taka each month.

The following are the criteria that will be used to choose candidates: If you submit all of the required information accurately and you meet all of the other requirements for the scholarship, then you will be invited to take the Aptitude Test. Candidates who earn a passing score on the Aptitude Test will be contacted by IDB-BISEW to participate in either an interview or a computer-based test. If you do well in the interview as well as the computer-based test, there is a good chance that you will be chosen for the scholarship.

The application process can be completed online by going to the provided web address. When you show up for the Aptitude Test, bring both of the copies that you printed out of the Admit Card that was displayed on the screen to the location where the test was given.
